Beginning October 1, 2025, valid photo ID is required to file any document with the County Clerk, including land records, probate filings, DBA filings, and vital records. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:45 PM. Staff do not conduct telephone record searches. Mail requests are accepted with payment and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Recording fees start at $26 for the first page and $4 for each additional page. Copies are $1 per page, and certified copies cost $5 plus the per-page fee.

Note: The county does not accept out-of-state personal checks. Veterans can file and get certified copies of DD-214 military discharge records at no charge.

Aransas County District Court Criminal Background Records

The Court at Law covers Class A and B misdemeanors along with DWI cases and minor civil disputes. Mental health and juvenile matters also come through this court.
